L.I. Mars- “Goin In” @iamLI_Mars

Limar Wilson aka L.I. Mars is the epitome of things fresh.  Hailing from Orlando/Altamonte Springs, Fl, this artist was destined for the spotlight.  Once a professional basketball player, he continued to impress the naysayers by living the impossible.  From the courts to the stage, the ball stopped bouncing, but the people didn’t. It was obvious no one saw this career change coming.  L.I. Mars music is more than the ordinary, it’s inspirational, real music that people can relate to with real life experiences.

“Started just rapping recording shit on my Apple phone. Now i’m telling my story and rapping on this microphone.”

Azealia Banks – Fantasea (Mixtape)

Azealia Banks has been swimming through the Internet since late last year, when she dropped the surprising, eye-catching “212”. Since then, she has dropped tracks randomly, and dropped an EP; one that was well received, but did not give listeners the substantial listen they were hoping for. Ms. Banks, finally, gives fans what they have been savoring for; a full-fledged mixtape- consisting of 19 tracks – full of catchy beats, and a fun atmosphere; the mixtape will be perfect for club DJ’s around the world, as the tape is begging for remixes for dance floors. Guest appearances are thankfully, kept to a minimum flooding mixtapes/albums with guest appearances hurts the overall product of any release – as fans, and critics, want this to be a showcase of Banks range as a rapper, singer, and overall performer.

Rittz – White Jesus : Revival (Mixtape) & Die (Offical Video)

A year ago today, Rittz dropped the original “White Jesus” mixtape. At first I ignored the lyricist, because he was associated with Yelawolf, who at the time I was also sleeping on. After curiosity finally got the best of me, I heard the tape, and was greatly impressed with Rittz ability to flow effortlessly over tracks, with a rapid-fire, Bone Thugs inspired flow.  Since than I have kept my ears on the MC, and his videos and guest verses have not disappointed. This re-release is for new fans, as half the tape has tracks from the previous mixtape, and for his supporters with the other half being filled with new material.

Also being given to us by Rittz, is the Dexter inspired video for his new single “Die”. Being a blogger, I hope whenever I receive a meal cooked by Rittz, it is not one of my partner here. To ensure my own safety, I’m just skin and bones, cooking me would be a waste. Thanks to the crew over at The Smoking Section for the hook up.
